A restated version of Selvin's problem statement appeared in Marilyn
vos Savant's "Ask Marilyn" question-and-answer column of Parade
magazine in September 1990. Though vos Savant gave the correct answer
that switching would win 2/3rds of the time, vos Savant estimates
10,000 readers including several hundred mathematics professors wrote
in to declare that her solution was wrong. As a result of the publicity
the problem earned the alternative name Marilyn and the Goats.
