The suicide deaths of two Saudi Children after taking part in the Blue Whale
Challenge have led to Saudi Arabia banning the Witcher 3, GTA, and other
games deemed too violent.

The ban follows the worldwide debate over violence in games that have been
linked to rampant acts of violence and self-harm by teens.

The Blue Whale Challenge requires players to commit suicide

The Blue Whale Challenge started in 2016. The game requires players to take
part in challenges that include staying up all night, cutting your own skin,
and eventually committing suicide.

The Saudi Arabia Witcher 3 ban follows the suicide of two Children

The Witcher 3 and other games have been banned after two children aged 12 and
13 committed suicide while taking part in the Blue Whale Challenge.

The country has banned 47 popular games including GTA and MortalKmbat which
have also been banned in a number of countries owing to their violent nature.
