前面關於侵權系列文鬧得滿城風雨

大家好像都忙著嘴砲忘了開心玩桌遊!?

為此小弟以我破破的英文 寫了一封信給多間美國的出版社

希望他們可以為廣大的版眾解惑一下

以下為我寄給他們的信件內容:

Dear Customer Service,

I am a board game fan from Taiwan, I like your games so much and hope you can
publish more fascinating games to us!

Recently, board game fans in Taiwan have come to some problems. Most of the
foreign board games are bought on official websites and shipping to Taiwan,
whether the retailers or players. Nothing big deal in purchasing goods
abroad. However, most of the games needs certain extents in reading English,
such as reading rule books or text on game cards, which is troublesome for
some of the board game fans in Taiwan.

Thus we make a solution: for rule books, we translate it into Chinese and
print it out; for game cards we translate it as well, printing it out in
small pieces and putting into card sleeves. It helps people who find
difficulty in reading English and make game proceeding smoothly.

We share the translating sheet to everyone who needed. Some retailer do the
same thing but charge as fee of translation. We are wondering if it's illegal
doing this kind of translation without permission from publisher and what if
sell to others for fee. Is it a violation of intellectual property rights?
What should we do to play the games with fun while not against the law?

我打了兩個小時的信 對方短短幾句話就回答完了

老實說我還期待會看到"敝公司保留所有權利,請使用者慎行"之類的話 Orz

不過這算是好事吧

代表該公司其實允許商家翻譯他們的規則書和卡表 翻譯的蠅頭小利也是OK的

(是不是"小利"不在本篇討論範圍中 請不要模糊焦點了 3Q ~ )

其他家出版商我還沒收到回覆 屆時再告訴大家吧 ~ ~
