眾多遊戲廠商紛紛將自己的2D產品3D化,面對著「流行趨勢」,2D的遊戲是否還能堅
持自己的市場與理念?在GDC大會上,Konami的五十嵐浩司以「2D遊戲的光明與黑暗面」
對這一問題作了自己的分析。
五十嵐浩司是《惡魔城:月下夜想曲》《惡魔城:白夜協奏曲》《惡魔城:曉月圓舞
曲》等系列遊戲的製作人,雖然有過3D嘗試,但他仍然堅持2D遊戲畫面才是最好的。他在
會上宣告:「2D遊戲絕沒完!」
他說,雖然目前3D遊戲發展迅猛,但是這也需要設計者花費更多的精力去製造複雜度
更高的物體效果,2D遊戲在設計和製作方面既容易又便宜,在產品週期上有著絕對的優勢
,而且透視畫法也能很好的表現物體距離的遠近。
而對於新一代遊戲機,遊戲畫面所面臨的問題是如何來「填滿」高分辨率的畫面。畫
面像素越多,表示需要設計的細節也越多,2D遊戲顯然可以騰出更多的功夫來讓畫面變得
精緻。另外,五十嵐浩司提出了一個2.5D的概念,這將會在《惡魔城X歷代記
(Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles)》中體現出來,讓我們等著看吧。
