遊戲製作人暨FromSoftware社長的宮崎英高接受了GAMESPOT的採訪
當被問到近年出了《黑暗靈魂 2》、《原罪哲人》、《血源詛咒》等作品
是否會擔心玩家對於《靈魂》系列作品感到疲乏了呢？
宮崎英高表示，說不擔心是騙人的，他不認為無止盡地製作黑暗靈魂和
血源詛咒下去是件好事，於是他考慮讓《黑暗靈魂 3》為系列畫下句點。
因為這不僅限制了他，也侷限了FromSoftware積極開發新作的可能性。
而雖然沒辦法將所有事情交代清楚，但《黑暗靈魂 3》的確會把貫穿整部
系列的主題做個收尾，讓玩家明白《黑暗靈魂》系列的故事是在說些什麼。
另外，他也談到最近喜愛的遊戲是《爐石戰記》
如果可以的話想試試來製作《網路創世紀（Ultima Online）》、
《無盡的任務（EverQuest）》或是《上古卷軸》的遊戲
