If WoW Classic is successful and there is interest among fans, Burning
Crusade and Wrath Legacy servers may be in WoW's future:

A few days later, Forbes interviewed Blizzard Entertainment president J.
Allen Brack and received a similar reply, which indicates that this has been
a topic of discussion among Blizzard management. Brack elaborated further on
the potential for Burning Crusade or Wrath servers, indicating that it may be
worth pursuing if Classic is very popular and the interest among fans is
there. Developing legacy WoW for another expansion would still be a massive
project, but they have the tech to make it happen.
