NBGI今發表，「超級機器人大戰α」、「超級機器人大戰α外傳」將於今日12月21日在
PSN遊戲檔案館開放下載，售價各￥1500，另外也一併發表了機器人大戰系列誕生20週年的紀念活動的舉辦日與場地。

超級機器人大戰嶄新的出發點，成為金字塔的「α」系列的第一彈。驅動Full動畫&cut
in的戰鬥畫面，熟練度系統、俯瞰地圖等新要素滿載。「新世紀福音戰士劇場版」、「超時空要塞Macross」、「機械巨神THE ANIMATION～地球靜止之日」 等新規作品參戰~。
