Frank Savage just responded positively to a question about whether or not there are plans for Xbox 360 backwards-compatibility.

Q: "Are there any plans for an emulator for the 360 games?"

A: "There are, but we're not done thinking them through yet, unfortunately. It turns out to be hard to emulate the PowerPC stuff on the x86 stuff."

"Nothing to announce," but that they're actually looking at trying to do it at all is surprising - would be very sweet if it ever materialized into something that works.
