「你們三人之中將有一個被隨機抓去處死，另外兩個將會重獲自由。」

囚犯A私下問了典獄長：
「請問您能告訴我那兩個人之中誰會被釋放嗎？
反正我本來就知道他們兩個之中有一個會被釋放了，你跟我說應該也沒差吧！」
典獄長：
『不，我不能跟你說，否則
你被處死的機率就由1/3提升到1/2了
因為你一定是剩下的那兩個之一。』
