Since MESS is now at the point where it’s pretty easy to add support
for SNES add-on hardware, I recently asked etabeta to add a skeleton
for the SNES SA-1 add-on chip, which I then fleshed out.
It turned out to be relatively easy to get many of the games using it
playing; many of the games use it just as a faster S-CPU and don’t
need the graphics conversion hardware running. So, in the “not bad
for a weekend”category, here’s some screens from games that didn’t
run in MESS previously, including one that gets asked about a lot…
