The day many South African gamers have been waiting for has finally dawned.
It has been officially announced that the Nintendo Wii will be showcased for
the first time in South Africa at rAge.

The Core Group was announced to be the new Nintendo distributor in South
Africa at the beginning of the month, however, there has been no solid
confirmation until now that Nintendo products would be on show at this year’
s rAge event.

For those of you who are still in the dark ages, rAge is South Africa’s
premier computer, gaming and technology expo. If you are in to anything
gaming or technology related, be sure to get yourself down to the Coca Cola
Dome in Johannesburg between the 28th and 30th of September.

It is yet to be confirmed whether the Wii will merely be on display or
whether gamers will actually be able to get their hands on Nintendo’s best
selling console. With supply issues dogging Nintendo worldwide we can only
hope that Nintendo of Europe have managed to set aside a couple thousand for
us South African gamers.
