日本Sony公司由於PS遊戲機獲利疲軟，且公司下修今年營收預估，4日股價重挫8.2%，為兩年半以來最大單跌幅。
Sony指出，去年第4季PS營業獲利劇減14%，為730億日圓；PS4銷售量為810萬台，低於上年同期的900台。
PS4已經邁入第6年，預估今年中時累積銷售量將突破1億台，確定是有史以來銷量最大的遊戲機。但儘管如此，今年的軟體配備不如去年亮麗。Sony目前仍預估全年度遊機部門的獲利為3,100億日圓。
麥格理集團分析師指出，PS4的促銷及行銷成本提高，使獲利受到壓抑；因此在PS部門營運明朗之前，對Sony股票將採觀望態度。高盛與野村均已下修Sony的股價目標。
2018年第4季營業獲利為3,770億日圓，比分析師預估的3,650億日圓略高；但對音樂部門的一次性利益進行調整後，營業獲利下修到2,600億日圓；單季營收額減少10%，為2.4兆日圓。
