該文的作者 greg 表示他已經成功將薄型的 PS3 由 3.5 降級到 3.41,
這明確表示 ps-downgrade 並非芭樂文,
作者花了 40 美金並且等待了超過 48 小時才拿到降級程式,
另外作者在文章最後放出了下載的連接,
包含修改後的 3.41 更新檔,兩個 Lv2diag.self (PSJB 使用的 JIG模組檔案),
還有 PS Updater 程式(用來將 PSJB 破解棒"升級"成降級工具)
具作者推測 FLA 檔案(PS3 降級程式)很可能是跟 PSJB 綁定的,
(所以你沒辦法任意複製 FLA 檔案到其他 PSJB 破解棒上讓它具有降極的功能)
(破解工具還要防被別人破解真諷刺...)
不過相信應該很快會有人研究出來怎麼讓 FLA 檔案在其他 PSJB 裝置上使用,
該版本目前支援 3.42 3.5 甚至有可支援之後的版本,
作者懷疑這情況有點類似 PSP 的潘朵拉電池,
可以強制降級任意版本的 PS3,
除非 Sony 修改硬體才有可能堵住這個漏洞,
如果你等不及想要降級(升級)你的 PS3 可以購買 PSJB 官方的破解棒,
並且購買降級程式就可以降級你的 PS3,
當然你也可以等待,
