GOG下架《Hitman》 GOTY版 - Steam

標榜DRM free的GOG在9月推出了《Hitman 》GOTY版，儘管商店頁面和其他遊戲一樣註明了
「No activation or online connection required to play」，但因玩家發現Escalation
missions、Elusive Targets與user-created Contracts等部分需要連線(GOG宣稱有註明，
玩家則說發售時沒有這麼說過)，致使部分玩家留下負評(整體評分一度為1.4/5)。

對此，GOG員工chandra在社群論壇表示：

Thank you for bringing this topic to our attention. We’re looking into it and w
ill be updating you in the coming weeks. In case you have purchased HITMAN and a
re not satisfied with the released version, you can use your right to refund the
game. At the same time, while we’re open for meritful discussion and feedback,
we will not tolerate review bombing and will be removing posts thatdo not foll
ow our review guidelines.

隨後，對於社群質疑刪除負評炸彈的言論：

Breja: It's not "review bombing" when the reviews give better information on wha
t is actually locked behind online DRM than the game's store page.

GOG員工chandra在社群論壇澄清：

We will not remove reviews like that, only those that are against our review gui
delines.

近日，GOG員工chandra在社群論壇對玩家致歉，並將遊戲下架，且表示與開發商IO Interac
tive溝通中：

Thank you for your patience and for giving us the time to investigate the releas
e of HITMAN GOTY on GOG. As promised, we’re getting back to you with updates.

We're still in dialogue with IO Interactive about this release. Today we have re
moved HITMAN GOTY from GOG’s catalog – we shouldn’t have released it in its c
urrent form, as you’ve pointed out.

We’d like to apologise for the confusion and anger generated by this situation.
We’ve let you down and we’d like to thank you for bringing this topic to us
– while it was honest to the bone, it shows how passionate you are towards GOG.

We appreciate your feedback and will continue our efforts to improve our communi
cation with you.
