Evil Geniuses have confirmed they have snared Ediz "goodfornothing" Basol
from Turmoil.
EG had been in the market for fresh blood following Matt "Warden" Dickens'
decision to retire from gaming right after the team's WCG exit.
The American team have today confirmed they have brought in West Coast
veteran Ediz "goodfornothing" Basol, who was last seen playing for Turmoil in
Chengdu last week.
This move marks Basol's reunion with Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert, with whom he
won CPL Winter in 2007 during their time at x3o.
"I loved playing with my former teammates and I'm going to miss that, but I
am really excited to play with the EG guys," Basol told Evil Geniuses'
website. They have an incredible drive and motivation to win and I know that
we are going to be successful.
"It's also going to be nice to let someone else handle the strat calling for
a change allowing me to focus more on my game (although I'm definitely going
to be teaching lurppis a few Turmoil tricks)."
Basol will have his official debut for Evil Geniuses at DreamHack Winter next
week in Jonkoping, Sweden, after which the team will compete in Arbalet Cup
in Stockholm.
Evil Geniuses have now:
Danny "fRoD" Montaner
Tyler "Storm" Wood
Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert
Tomi "lurppis" Kovanen
Ediz "goodfornothing" Basol
