Sony針對上田文人離開SCE的謠言給了回應，
表示上田文人目前有與他們簽訂契約，承諾會把The Last Guardian完成，
(Sony:"Ueda-san is in fact under contractand is committed to completing his work
on The Last Guardian.")
這應該證實了上田文人目前已經離開SCE，
但與SCE保持契約關係來完成The Last Guardian。
但還是留下些疑問，像是為何上田文人要離開，
甚至幾天前The Last Guardian執行製作也離開，
並加盟倫敦的社群遊戲開發公司的新聞室不是有相關...
