5. Katamari Damacy
In the PS2 game Katamari Damacy you play a cylinder-headed prince who pushes
around a giant ball. The objective of the game is to collect increasingly
larger objects. Add a completely ridiculous soundtrack and some heavily
stylized graphics and you have one of the most original and weird game
concepts ever created!
4. Catherine
Not many games try to tackle relationship problems, let alone with block
puzzles and sheep. But that's exactly what Catherine does. In this sexy
PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 game you control a guy named Vincent. He must
navigate his way through a love triangle and escape surreal dreams. It's ....
pretty weird indeed.
3. Mister Mosquito
Ever wondered what it would be like to be a mosquito. No? Neither have we,
but some crazy guys in Japan made a game about it anyway. In Mister Mosquito
you are a mosquito who has to suck blood from a Japanese family without being
noticed. This PS2 game is truly weird, and may leave you feeling a little
dirty at times....
2. LSD Dream Emulator
It shouldn't come as a surprise that a game titled 'LSD Dream Emulator' is a
little weird. In this obscure Playstation game you progress through different
dreams without a real goal. We're wondering if the developers actually were
on LSD when they made the game. Let's hope they were cause you would have to
be completely mental to come up with this stuff on your own.
1. Seaman
Games don't get weirder than Seaman on the Dreamcast. This game requires you
to raise a human-faced fish called Seaman. You use the Dreamcast's microphone
to talk and interact with your fishy friend who is not always the friendliest
of pets. Seaman isn't really so much of a game as an interactive pet
simulator. The entire game is essentially feeding the Seaman, and checking in
on him every day. Seaman was a bizarre but fun title that has built up a cult
following over time. It rightfully earns the number one spot on our list of
weird games!
